New Event Test: Relic Hunter

Come help us test out our new 10-15 and 20-30 event: Relic Hunter!

Today's test will be trying out this concept in the 20-30 Battlegrounds on each server.

Here are the details:

When: (PDT)

1PM - Lailah and Teos
2PM - Gaia and Etain

Where:
20-30 Cantabilian (HOME SERVER)

What:

Relic hunter is a point-based game where the object is to not only take over the Cantabilian relic but to also search the map for spawned relics to gain additional points.

Throughout the 45 minutes of this game there will be sets of relics that spawn (1 for each faction, in the same general area) at random areas of the map. You will need to have hunting parties venture out and try to find these relics and destroy to opposite faction's relic before they destroy yours. Each time you destroy the other faction's relic first your side will get a point. Also, taking the primary map relic will also gain your side a point.

The winner is whichever faction has the most points at the end of the 45 minute time limit.

So folks don't think we are playing favorites we have selected multiple map locations and will be rolling a d20 (that's right folks a real d20) to determine relic location.

The rules of engagement:

1) Both factions begin in their keep. If the relic is attacked due to people not being at their keep once the game begins the offending team will not get credit and the non-offending team will be awarded 3 points.

2) At the map relic: Do not stand in the relic as it respawns. This is considered the equivalent of a terrain exploit and is thus against the rules.

3) We ask that people do not lock-down a keep by camping it, however in this game it is not directly against the rules. Be prepared, however for the guards to call for assistance.

This is a test event and we are looking for feedback on the forum as to what works and may not work when running this event. Please refrain from commenting too heavily on the event mechanics until after the event has been tried out. We will not be offering prizes for this test, but there will be plenty of PvP kills if folks come out and play.
